Care Ministry
“Prayer first, prayer always!” is one of our core values. We are a people who pray and know the power of prayer. Prayer invites us into a very intimate relationship with God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In this relationship we learn, as God’s children, to express our hopes, needs, and desires to a loving God and to listen for God’s instruction, gifts, and guidance (e.g., Luke 11:2-4; John 15:16; 1 Peter 5:7; Philippians 4:4-7). Through prayer, we also experience the deep transformational power of the Holy Spirit. Through intercession for the needs of others, we learn to see the potential God sees in them. Through healing prayer, our joy increases as we learn to persevere and when we see God move in power in healing. Through listening prayer, we learn to discern God’s voice through His Word, Holy Spirit, people, and circumstances.
Visitation Ministry
GSLC’s Visitation Ministry is comprised of servant volunteers who have a heart to visit and pray for anyone who is sick, hospitalized, or in need of having someone visit them in their time of needing Christ’s comfort. Volunteers stay in contact through face-to-face visits, email, text messages, and phone calls. To schedule a visitation minister visit or for more information about this caring ministry contact Pastor Susan Westland at 801-255-8181 or at susan@gslc.net.
